Upholstery

Re-Seated is an artisan upholstery and textiles company, which takes a couture approach to upholstery.

We also sell a small selection of antique and 20th century chairs, lighting and some hand-crafted furniture items that are available to buy on our online shop or at our stalls at Ardingly or Alexandra Palace Antiques fairs.

We work with personal clients, interior designers, furniture boutiques and antique dealers, to source and transform individual pieces to enhance their interiors.

Helen Puxley

Having worked for over 20 years in Design and Fashion, Helen brings an aesthetic and artistic eye to re-upholstery, which works well for clients who want a little design input or when a bold transformation is planned for a design piece.

Whilst the structural restoration is an essential part of the upholstery process to ensure a longer life of a chair, we get equal delight in ensuring the perfect fabric is chosen for the chair to either modernise for the 21st century or compliment the era to which it originally belonged……we can help to sympathetically or dramatically enhance the look of the finished piece.

Helen has been fortunate to train over the last 3 years in traditional upholstery skills with teachers in both Wales & East Sussex. She now works alongside a local upholsterer which allows her to manage larger commissions and to continue to develop skills in both traditional and modern techniques.
